Nicholas Strasser is an elite foot and ankle orthopedic surgeon dedicated to exceptional orthopedic care for athletes and active individuals in Nashville and Franklin Tennessee.
Dr Strasser specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related foot and ankle injuries
with the mission to help patients return to the activities they love safely and effectively. He has experience managing injuries foot and ankle injuries in professional, collegiate, high school and recreational athletes of all ages and disciplines.
Dr. Strasser is an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery with specialized training in foot and ankle sports medicine. He completed his orthopaedic residency at the Mayo Clinic, followed by subspecialty training at OrthoCarolina under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Anderson. For the past nine years, Dr. Strasser practiced in Eugene, Oregon, where he provided care for the University of Oregon athletes and coordinated medical coverage for numerous national track and field events, including the NCAA Finals, the Indoor World Championships, and multiple U.S. Olympic Trials.
Dr. Strasser specializes in sports foot and ankle related injuries as well as Foot and Ankle arthroscopy, Minimally Invasive Surgery, Trauma and Reconstruction. He has authored several peer reviewed journal articles and text books. He serves as a podcast host with the American Foot and Ankle Society and his own “Indications” podcast. Strasser is a consultant team physician to Vanderbilt University Athletics, Nashville Soccer Club and the Nashville Predators.
